New Update - Traffic Alert: 12-Mile Backup In Hudson Valley For Bridge Repairs

Traffic is still backed up for at least 12 miles and significant delays are expected during the evening commute in the Hudson Valley after an oversized tractor-trailer got stuck under an overpass.

The incident is happening in Rockland County on I-87 southbound near Nyack at the South Broadway overpass.

According to New York State Police, the truck has been removed, but currently, repairs are being made to the bridge which could take hours. The left three lanes of traffic are closed.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
